St. Withburga of Rome
(Died c.AD 750)

Withburga was a noble English lady who shut herself up in a small cell in St. Peter's church in Rome and remained the rest of her life there, in divine contemplation. St. Boniface attested to her piety. She died on 16th October around the year AD 750.

Edited from Agnes Dunbar's "A Dictionary of Saintly Women" (1904).
