Cedic, King of Strathclyde
(Born c.490)
(Welsh: Cedig; Latin: Ceticius; English: Cettick)

Cedic - sometimes called Clinoch - was apparently the eldest son of King Dumnagual Hen of Strathclyde. He inherited his father's kingdom in the early 6th century, but had many brothers and may therefore have only been the nominal overlord of most of the country. For his brethren would not easily have given up their share. Largely reunited by the time of his death, afterwards Strathclyde became divided once more. His eldest son, Tutgual Tutclyd took the greater part, whilst lesser areas went to Senyllt and Serwan.

Records of King Cedic date back to the 12th century. He could be historic.
